List Of Cheapest Domain Name Registrars Providers 2018

Domain names range in cost from "free" to $35 or more per year. Google the term "cheap domain names" and you’ll almost get 4,000,000 (4 million) results. That many domain registers is a little hard to sort through, isn’t it?

While you may be looking for the cheapest domain name registrar, sometimes cheapest isn't always the best; and on the flip side many reputable hosting companies (which you'll need for your website anyways) will offer low-cost or even free domain names when you host your website with them.

With that said, I've put together a list of the most budget friendly and reputable places you can get a domain name and/or hosting account with.

You can save yourself the time and trouble of researching those 4 million pages of results and go with a trusted recommendation from a trusted source. The majority of them offer deals and web hosting. Pricing is for a standard ".com" address.

If you don't get your domain name included with your hosting plan, then you'll need to get a separate hosting account from a separate company.

List Of Cheapest Domain Name Registrars 2018

1. BlueHost

As mentioned above, BlueHost is a great budget host for those building a new website or blog and they offer a free domain for your first year when you get a hosting account with them.

BlueHost supports free WordPress hosting as well, which is an important consideration as many people choose to build their websites using a self-hosted WordPress solution.

Annual Fee: Free, with purchase of entry level hosting package ($6.95 per month).
Offers hosting service: Yes
Discounts (multi-year or multiple domains): n/a

2. Namecheap.com

NameCheap is one of my favorite places to register a domain name if you're looking to just purchase domain names and host your website in another place. NameCheap also offers their own hosting account plans as well.

NameCheap is a very well liked and respected for those in the online marketing community. Though many like to buy their domains with one provider and host with another; you can't go wrong getting your domain name and hosting with NameCheap.

A very common thing many online marketer's will do is purchase their domain name at NameCheap and then their hosting at BlueHost.

Annual Fee: $10.69Private registration: $2.88 / yearOffers hosting service: Yes
Deals available: Receive free private registration for the first year, with new registrations.
Discounts (multi-year or multiple domains): n/a

3. GoDaddy

With a huge advertising budget and national ads (including the Super Bowl) there's not doubt you've heard of GoDaddy before. While their prices are competitive you'll be faced with numerous options for up-sells and add-ons, making the purchasing path a little more complicated than other options.

If you decide to get your domain name with GoDaddy then just stick with a regular domain purchase and skip all of the add-ons; which can add up and make purchasing the domain name very costly.

Annual Fee: $8.99 for the first year. $14.99 for each additional year.Private registration: $8.99 / yearOffers hosting service: Yes
Deals available: Always
Discounts (multi-year or multiple domains): Register 6 domains or more and pay just $9.99 per domain and receive free private registration.

4. HostGator.com

HostGator is one of the most popular web hosts amongst newcomers to online marketing. While they don't offer free domains and their domains are higher in price than other options; their budget friendly hosting plans make them a great all-in-one stop for registering domain names and hosting accounts.

My personal recommendation, if you choose to host with HostGator, would be to get your domain name elsewhere.

Annual Fee: $15.00
Private registration: $10.00
Offers hosting service: Yes
Deals available: Not on domains
Discounts (multi-year or multiple domains): n/a

5. 1and1.com

Another well known company, due to an aggressive national advertising campaign, is 1&1. Though appropriate for any type of business, 1&1 really markets themselves towards the bricks-and-mortar business audience.

Annual Fee: $0.99 for the first year ($14.99 for each additional year)
Private registration: Included
Offers hosting service: Yes
